Believe it or not, this one was started en plein aire. The wind blustered, and I dropped my palette face down, and then I leaned the painting against something while I loaded my car, and then I drove away cold and hungry and frustrated and found it missing when I arrived home an hour and a half away. I was heart broken. But I posted on Facebook, and in a very roundabout way I found this painting again, honest people had taken it to the Lost and Found at the Temple, and a former student had a family member that worked at the temple who checked for me and wa-la! there it was! My little family visited the Temple the next Saturday and retrieved my painting and got some baptisms done while we were there. I finished it up as much as I could before it was due for the plein air contest I was participating in. It's not finished obviously, but I like it so much unfinished that I am posting it here, and will finish it and post a separate image of the finished Temple.
